Matthew Nguyễn is a Vietnamese multi-hyphenate from Brisbane, Australia. He grew up playing the violin, and learned to dance watching YouTube Videos and SYTYCD, which led him to a BFA in Dance from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Upon graduating, Matthew joined the Australian company of ‘The King and I’, performing at the Sydney Opera House. In 2016 Matthew moved to New York City and was a cast member of Broadway Tours ‘Cabaret’ and ‘Miss Saigon’. He recently moved to LA and has cultivated a TikTok following, going viral at the intersection of pop culture, nerd culture, and Vietnamese culture. He’s fluent in Vietnamese, proficient in 7 instruments (the most viral one is the harp), pole dances, and makes rugs in his spare time.
